After completing Radiation Saftey Training, a Film Badge
will
be issed by the
Radiation Safety Office. The film badge must be worn at all times while
working with, or being in the vicinity of, a radiation source. It is
changed monthly, collected, and sent for processing.
Exposure reports will be reviewed by the Radiation Safety Office.
If any result is high, you will be contacted by the Radiation
Safety Officer to determine the causes of the high exposure
and to recommend actions to be taken to reduce the exposure.
It is YOUR responsibility to wear your film badge and it is
your right to request a report of your previous exposure at
any time. All exposure records are kept in the Radiation Safety
Office |
